Learning the Phonetic Alphabet
The phonetic alphabet is not just for pilots, police and other professions that use radios, it can even be used if your on the phone and the person can't quite understand your post code!
If you are a an aspiring pilot however, or desire a profession in aviation it would benefit you to try to learn the phonetic alphabet. It is a very basic and small aspect of the radio telephony modules you will eventually study and use on a day-to-day basis.
Below you will find a table of the alphabet along with the code words in phonetic terms and the correct way to pronounce the code words. There is also a video to aid those who would like to hear it spoken and a quiz to test your new acquired knowledge.
